"As a frequent traveler, I found this hotel to have a very distinct character. The pros are: 1. It's quite close to the station, though still a six or seven-minute walk; 2. The decor is very stylish, with thoughtful design and quality materials, and well-considered placement of outlets and lighting; 3. The bedding and pillows are excellent; 4. The rooftop offers an unbeatable view. However, the cons are equally obvious: 1. The double-layered curtains don't block out light and are covered in stains. It was so disgusting that we even cleaned them with alcohol ourselves; 2. The double room only came with one chair. They could easily add a folding chair; 3. The water pressure is incredibly strong, which is great, but because the floor is too flat and the shower partition isn't wide enough, water splashes all over the floor during a normal shower; 4. There are no water glasses or a kettle in the room. You have to go downstairs to get water. In Germany, this is typically the setup you'd find in a cheaper business hotel, but this hotel's price point isn't cheap. Other brand hotels at this price usually have kettles and coffee machines in the rooms. This was the worst hotel in terms of value for money (price vs. amenities) during my entire European trip. And because I had to get hot water at least twice a day, one staff member was extremely impatient, even openly showing it, which was terrible service; 5. Coffee is actually free from 11:30 PM to 11:30 AM, but the staff didn't proactively mention it. One even claimed it wasn't free after 6:00 AM and required payment. I feel the hotel could really improve on this point; they should just be more generous. I wouldn't consider staying at a hotel like this again unless the price was a third lower. Also, breakfast is 19 Euros per person. The information on Ctrip is completely wrong and it's very mediocre, not worth it. You can buy good bread and organic cold cuts from the supermarket and bakery next door for less than five Euros."

"Stayed as a couple at Club King Double room for 5 nights during the Amphi Festival. Pros: - Unbeatable location, walking distance to everything while not within the Old Town which is way too touristy. Five-minute walk from the train that takes you straight to the airport. - Room 99% soundproof, very private and peaceful (stayed at the Club floor, 6/6). - Amazing bed. - Full-size working desk in the room. - Daytime service very professional, helpful, and friendly. - The Club Floor lounge has it's own very good breakfast buffet (included with the Club rooms at no extra cost - apart from the higher cost of the Club room itself - so you might skip paying extra for the regular breakfast at the restaurant). Also daytime tea with cake and an evening snack are served as well. The snack could become your legitimate dinner if you need it, as there are hot options and appetizers. Amazing view of the cathedral from the Lounge. - The food was amazing. Cons: - The night shift staff is not at the same level as the day shift, so try to resolve your matters during the day. - Some visible wear and tear in the room (not important to me, but might bother some who expect everything to be 100% at this price point). Overall: - Highly recommend, would stay again."

"The hotel I stayed in during my time in Cologne was generally a decent, practical choice, with no major flaws, but also a few surprises. The location was convenient, about a five-minute walk from the nearby bus stop. Tourist attractions like Cologne Cathedral and the Old Town are easily accessible by public transportation or taxi. Small supermarkets and small eateries are nearby, making daily groceries and meals convenient. The room was of moderate size, spacious enough for a single occupancy but a bit cramped for a double. The furniture and furnishings showed some signs of use, but were generally clean and tidy, and the bedding was perfectly soft, ensuring a pleasant sleep. The bathroom had a nice, dry/wet area with a reliable hot water supply. The toiletries were basic, but those with skincare needs are advised to bring their own. Regarding service, the front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. Check-in and check-out were both prompt and helpful. They patiently answered questions about directions to attractions, but they didn't proactively offer any extra touches (such as local recommendations or extended luggage storage). Breakfast is a simple buffet with basic items like bread, ham, eggs, coffee, and juice. The taste is quite satisfactory and can satisfy your hunger, but those who seek a richer meal may find it a bit monotonous. Overall, if you are looking for convenient travel in Cologne and a good value accommodation, this hotel meets basic needs and is suitable for travelers who value practicality over luxury."
